The courtyard on the frontside of the warehouse is where you’ll encounter the initial queue line area for the haunt. Once you enter through the warehouse doors, be prepared to be fully immersed into a whole different world! The indoor queue line and ticket redemption areas had elegantly crafted set designs, setting the tone for what was sure to be a frightening and immersive experience!

Scare Hours
The haunt will be open nightly from September 30-October 31 as well as November 4 & 5, 2016. Food and beverage options are also abound, including mini donuts (which are oh so good!), hot dogs, nachos, gourmet popcorn, Dippin’ Dots, and new offerings like fudge, pretzels, and bratwurst. Guests can also enjoy Dr. Octane’s Bizarre Beverages, serving up several flavors of tasty, colorful, non-alcoholic fizzy bubbling concoctions. Netherworld later had yet another address change, but in this instance, no physical move was necessary.
Attractions
I didn’t know they could run that fast, but apparently they’re motivated to move when chased by creatures of the night. In 2000, a third event was added at a remote location for one year, called Bloodfeast, a replica of a Medieval Torture Chamber. In 2003 Netherworld expanded with a third attraction that was located one floor below the larger one. It began as Tomb of Darkness, a very dark show, and slowly evolved into a more gory reality based event when compared with the traditional gothic horror elements of the upstairs haunt. In 2007 The 3-D Show and the Main show were combined in Leviathan, and a new introductory section and gift shop were added.
In 2020, Gwinnett County, GA, granted Netherworld the new street name/number of 1313 Netherworld Way,[4] replacing their former 2076 West Park Place address. As it celebrates its 27th season, it continues to redefine the boundaries of fear and imagination.

“We love building on our past themes and thrilling guests with new monsters, surprises, and features,” Netherworld co-creator Ben Armstrong says. “Each year, we aim to give both first-time haunt goers and loyal Netherworld fans a new over-the-top experience,” says co-creator Billy Messina. The 2009 film Zombieland had portions filmed inside of Netherworld, and members of the Netherworld crew participated in the films production.

Netherworld has always created original monsters and props, rather than using movie or television intellectual properties, as many other haunted attractions customarily do. Netherworld is known for its elaborate sets, innovative special effects, lighting and sound. A number of actors also stalk the queue line and Midway before the haunted house actually begins, starting the experience the moment guests get out of their cars. This is a somewhat different take on "scare zones", which are utilized by the larger theme parks. As you pull into the parking lot (located across the street) the appearance of the haunt is rather unassuming, as at first the large warehouse certainly doesn’t give off any ominous or spooky vibes!

The themes of the escapes rooms are Sasquatch, Nosferatu, Terror on Tiki Island, Alien Terror and The Haunted. In 2019, Netherworld also opened the seasonal Laser Tag Battle Area, a fun outside laser tag game that is open during the haunted house season only. Located in Stone Mountain, GA, this haunted house has become a must-visit attraction for fear enthusiasts far and wide. With its 27th Season of Screams, NETHERWORLD introduces two new haunts that promise to elevate the terror to new heights. It’s a lot of fun, and I can definitely understand why it’s often rated as one of the best haunted houses in the nation. I don’t scare easily, but they “get” me a few times when I walk through, especially when anything resembling a statue turns out to be a real person. The teen girls remain the most hilarious part of the night though, as quite a few scare easily.
With each haunt featuring a continuation of past tales, new and returning characters, and incredibly detailed storytelling that sets Netherworld apart from all other haunted houses. The new haunts promise intense new experiences and "WOW" moments that are sure to leave visitors breathless. Over the years, we’ve continued to say that it’s the best-haunted house in the country. And we’ve done Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando, Pennhurst Haunted Asylum, and so many other haunted houses across the country.
